Matt has been reversing and exploiting embedded systems (firmware, hardware, radio) for 13 years, writing emulators and disassemblers for 15 years, and crafting tools to make it easy for just as long. 

Matt's expertise is in reverse-engineering, vulnerability research, software/firmware/hardware / ICS / AMI / Radio, hacker techniques, and teaching others. He led the Vulnerabilities team for NIST Cyber Security Coordination Task Force developing NISTIR-7628 and Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS). Matt was a founding member of the Advanced Security Acceleration Project for the Smart Grid (ASAP-SG) and was the Red-team lead for Advanced Security Acceleration Project (AMI-SEC/ASAP). Matt also was captain of three winning Defcon CTF teams.
