Lisa Wiswell is a Young AFCEA 40 Under 40 Winner

GRIMM is excited to announce that Lisa Wiswell, Principal for Security Consulting, was selected as a Young AFCEA 40 Under 40 winner for 2017. The Young AFCEA 40 Under 40 Award is given to 40 individuals, 40 or under, recognizing their significant contributions in technical STEM fields by providing innovation, thought leadership and support to military and government technology communities.Lisa joined GRIMM’s leadership team earlier this year as a Principal in support of GRIMM’s commercial and government clients. Lisa plays a critical role in managing the executive team. She is an accomplished leader with a decade of programmatic and cyberwarfare experience. This recognition underscored her dedication to delivering innovation to government and defense markets and exemplifies the dynamic leadership we have here at GRIMM which enables us to continue to drive successful security outcomes for our customers.

Before joining GRIMM, Lisa worked for the Department of Defense. Specifically, she worked for the Defense Digital Service at the Pentagon, and prior to that was appointed by the Obama Administration to several positions within the Office of the Secretary of Defense where she formulated and implemented policies and strategies to improve DoD’s ability to operate in cyberspace and develop the DoD cyberspace workforce. In this capacity she created the “Hack the Pentagon” program – the U.S. Government’s first Bug Bounty and Vulnerability Disclosure program, for which she earned the AFCEA award and several others. She’s well known in the industry for spearheading a number of innovative cyber programs from her time at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), including Plan X, the DoD’s flagship cyberwarfare research and development program. Additionally, she has provided strategic guidance to the Principal Cyber Advisor to the Secretary of Defense, lent civilian oversight for the build-up of the Cyber Mission Force (CMF), accelerated cyber research & development programs throughout the Department of Defense.Congratulations to Lisa from the team at GRIMM!
